Can you guys keep addons in mind as you do this? There's like 9 years of API support for items and spells and 7 years of support for secure handling of items and spells. Your "new" systems like glyphs and talents tend to walk away from that with little in its place. I fear we'll get all the toys moved into a new class of item/spell and lose even more. Make addon authors excited for new things to tinker with.

As a specific example, make sure SetMacroSpell/SetMacroItem work for this new class of item/spell.
Or better yet, add a SetMacroIcon. Then we can use it for battle pets too which we lost when they were moved into the pet journal.
